Did you know that last year's operating budget for The Haunted Theatre was $150? That money was used to buy lights, make-up, props, and tools. We took that $150, added in over 20 awesome volunteers, and turned it into nearly $3000 for the Griffin Ballet Theatre and Studio D School of Dance.
This year, we want to do better. Our goal this year is $5000! That means getting over a thousand people to visit The Haunted Theatre over our four open nights in October. It's a huge goal for our little haunted house.
For us to reach our goal, we have to go even bigger and even better!
But we can't do it without your support!
Right now, we are trying to raise $400 or more through a Kickstarter campaign, and we are entering crunch time, because we only have 30 more days to collect money. It's a great program, the only problem is if we don't raise all of our goal, we will receive no money. You can help out by donating as little as a dollar, with no limit on the amount of money you can donate. Every little bit helps, and you'd be surprised at how much we can do with this small amount of money.
If you can't donate, at least help spread the word. Talk about it on Facebook, send Tweets out about it, e-mail your contacts, go on Youtube and brag about it, call your friends, send up smoke signals, anyway possible. We've got to get the message out about this fundraiser, so we will take any help possible in getting the word out. Every dime of this money will go to making The Haunted Theatre bigger and badder than we've done any of our previous years, and the better we are, the more people will come, and the more money we will be able to raise for the Griffin Ballet Theatre and Studio D, because remember, we are doing it all for them.
Another way you can help out is joining our Facebook Fan Page or following us on Twitter (@hauntedtheatre), and then spreading the word to get others to join in as well. Let's face it, social media is the easiest and fastest form of communication now a days, and the more of a presence we have on both Facebook and Twitter, the better off we are.
But no amount of advertisement campaign or billboard or sign or website will ever take away from the greatest form of advertisement there is.
YOU!!!
You talking to everyone about The Haunted Theatre. You talking about how good it is. You singing its praises. You just telling people how much fun you had at it, does more than anything we could ever do. We increase the amount of people that visit The Haunted Theatre each year, and that is in a larger part due to the fact that word of mouth for The Haunted Theatre spreads like wildfire in Griffin, but for us to reach our goal, we need to get the word out beyond Griffin's borders. Into places like Thomaston, McDonough, Fayetteville, Barnesville, Riverdale, Locust Grove, etc. These cities are so close to The Haunted Theatre, and it is well worth the drive to visit our town to come see The Haunted Theatre, while at the same time, helping a good cause.
So we ask you. We beg you. Please help in anyway possible. Help us raise money. Help us get the word out. Help us in anyway possible.
Thank you, and scare you in October!
